Glossary Terms - "Z"
ZIP
The file extension which refers to archives that were created by the program WinZip. You need
a program that recognizes ZIP files to retrieve individual files out of the archive.
Zmodem
A file transfer protocol which is known for its speed, as well as the ability to transfer
information about the files which it sends. It has crash recovery and auto-download features,
and can use a 32 bit CRC, which makes it almost error-free.
